High-end home listings placed on the market in October point to combined asking prices north of $19 million.
For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 18 single-family homes within city limits that have an asking price of $750,000 or more. That compares with 12 in September and 28 in August.
Combined, the homes have asking prices of $19.1 million, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.
Seven of the homes had asking prices of at least $1 million. The highest-price home of the month, at $1.95 million, is for a 6,750-square-foot home at 3936 E. Glen Abbey Drive within the Highland Springs community.
During October, the average area sale price was $311,068, with 528 total units sold, according to the latest data from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors. That compares with a $300,567 average sale price and 517 total units sold in October 2024.
Statewide, the latest Missouri Realtors data points to a 4.5% increase in the average September sale price to $329,482. The data shows 6,522 homes sold in September, a 6.7% increase compared with a year earlier.
