Posted online

Thirteen listings above $1 million were a key feature of high-end homes listed in May, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 24 single-family properties within city limits that have an asking price of $750,000 or more. That compares with 29 in April and 23 in March.

Combined, homeowners are asking roughly $30 million for the properties listed last month.

The highest-priced home of the month is a $3.4 million listing at 1690 S. Royal Drive.

In May, the average Springfield regional sale price was $319,452, a 1.3% increase from a year earlier, according to Greater Springfield Board of Realtors data. There were 633 units sold, a 7.7% decrease.

The latest Missouri Realtors data shows the average sale price in April was $338,947, a 6.7% annual increase. There were 6,733 closed sales, a 22.5% jump from a year earlier.
