High-end home listings remained robust in September, according to Southern Missouri Regional MLS data.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of 34 single-family homes within city limits that were listed last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That compares with 32 in August and 40 in July.

Combined, the owners of the homes listed last month are seeking roughly $28 million in asking prices. Four of the homes had asking prices of at least $1 million, including two priced above $2 million.

The highest-priced home of the month, at 6298 E. Summit View in southeast Springfield's Estates at Summit Ridge, spans 4,649 square feet and has four bedrooms and five bathrooms on more than five acres.

Throughout the service area of the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors, the average sale price in September was $308,515, an increase from $290,903 in the same month of 2023. There were 513 units sold last month, up from 500 in September 2023, according to GSBOR market statistics data.

The latest statewide data from the Missouri Relators industry group points to an average sale price of $320,395 in August, a 2.8% increase from the same month last year. Realtors sold 6,966 homes in August, compared with 7,184 a year earlier.
