To start 2024, 19 high-end homes were listed in the Springfield market.

For the monthly editorial series Curb Appeal, Springfield Business Journal compiled a list of the single-family homes within city limits listed on the Southern Missouri Regional MLS last month with asking prices of $500,000 or more. That compares with 21 in December and 19 in November.

The combined asking prices of the January-listed homes are $11.3 million, according to MLS data.

At $719,900, the highest-priced home of the month is a five bedroom, four-bathroom property at 5934 S. Dollison Ave. It's located between Campbell and National avenues in south Springfield’s Anthony Park.

Data from the Greater Springfield Board of Realtors show an average home sale price in January of $266,820, down from $279,949 in the same month of 2023. There were 341 units sold last month in GSBOR’s service area, compared with 329 units sold in January 2023.

Across the state, real estate agents sold 5,057 residential properties in December, according to the latest data from the Missouri Realtors association. The average sale price rose 3.5% to $282,803 year over year.
