Cubs to end 90-year relationship with WGN Radio

Crain’s Chicago Business is reporting the Chicago Cubs are planning to announce today that the Major League Baseball franchise is ending one of the longest broadcasting relationships in the sport’s history.

The team will reportedly announce a new seven-year agreement with WBBM-AM/780 to air Cubs’ games beginning next year, ending a 90-year run with WGN-AM/720.

The new deal would put the Cubs, Bears and White Sox all under the CBS Radio banner.
