City Utilities Director of Transit Kevin Lowe, 45, died of an apparent heart attack Feb. 23 at his home in Rogersville, according to his his Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home obituary.
According to Lowe’s
LinkedIn account, Lowe served as CU’s transit director since December. He had worked as assistant manager of design and construction at the public utility for three years prior to being selected to run the transit division.
CU spokesman Joel Alexander could not be reached for comment by deadline.
Lowe was a client manager for Olsson Associates Inc. in Springfield for six years before moving to CU.
At Olsson Associates, he helped launch the Springfield office for the Lincoln, Neb.-based engineering firm.
The Willow Springs-native was a highway administrator for Greene County 2001-05 and an operations engineer for the Missouri Department of Transportation for the preceding nine years.
According to Lowe’s obituary posted
online, he was a graduate of Willow Springs High School, and he held a bachelor’s in civil engineering from the Missouri University of Science and Technology. Lowe is survived by his wife, Dana; his children, Hannah, Sarah and Caleb; his mother, Jeanie Lowe, of Willow Springs; his brother, Kelly Lowe, of Rogersville; and his brother, Kurt Lowe, of Dora.[[In-content Ad]]
