CU Community Credit Union has been chosen among applicants nationwide as a winner in the 2012 American Web Design Awards competition by Graphic Design USA.
The Springfield credit union's Web site, MyCUCommunity.com, was chosen from more than 1,000 applications, according to a news release. It is featured in the
May issue of Graphic Design USA magazine, which has been published since 1963.
"Our hope is that we have developed a site structure that can be updated and refreshed easily as our brand messaging and our customers’ needs progress over time," said Tanja Kern, vice president of marketing for CU Community Credit Union, in the release.
The newly designed Web site, launched March 1, is part of a rebranding effort for the company, which also is creating new marketing materials such as signage, according to
Springfield Business Journal archives.
“Our computer engineer, Andrew Rose, went above and beyond to program a site that is easy to navigate and scales across a wide range of screen sizes, from mobile to tablet to desktop," Kern added.
The nonprofit, member-owned CU Community Credit Union, which is available for those who live and work in Greene and Christian counties, has more than 6,400 members, $72 million in assets and two Springfield branches, the release said.
