Officials with City Utilities and Associated Electric Cooperative Inc. are among those scheduled to make presentations at a Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry April 7 conference on the future of energy in the state.
Today is the last day
to register for the fourth annual Missouri's Energy Future event, which is to be held in Jefferson City.
Dave Fraley of CU and Brent Ross of AECI will speak about the impact of environmental regulations, according to the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and Industry's Web site.
Patrick Moore, co-chairman of Clean and Safe Energy Coalition - a pro-nuclear power organization - will keynote the event with his speech, "The Role of Nuclear Energy." Moore also is a former leader of Greenpeace.
Other topics at the conference include:
- energy supply and demand;
- economic impact of energy;
- renewable energy;
- global energy;
- the Health Care Freedom Act;
- energy efficiency rules; and
- Missouri's energy policy.
