Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, returned to the state he represents after drawing swift criticism for a trip to Cancun, Mexico.
Cruz called the trip "a mistake." It was made during the middle of a deadly winter storm that has led to water and electricity shortages in the state.
The Texas Democratic Party is calling for Cruz to resign.
