Neosho-based Crowder College has filed an $11.9 million building permit for a workforce training project in Joplin.
The college plans to renovate the former Victory Ministry & Sports Complex it purchased last year for $7.5 million. Also included in the purchase was 40 acres.
College officials say the new building would help meet the area's demand for short-term training and workforce assistance.
