Cracker Barrel has closed 14 Maple Street Biscuit Co. restaurants.
Company officials said in a statement to USA Today that the stores "simply didn’t meet our financial expectations."
Cracker Barrel bought Maple Street Biscuit Co. for $36 million in 2019. The restaurant chain has roughly 50 locations in operation following the closures.
