CoxHealth issued a warning about scammers using the health care system's name.
The callers claim to be connected with CoxHealth or Ferrell-Duncan Clinic. They claim customers can get a discount on medical equipment if they pay with a credit card.
According to the health care system, the scammers spoofed CoxHealth's name so the caller appears as Cox Medical Center on caller ID.
CoxHealth officials say the company does not cold cold customers about medical equipment.
