CoxHealth will open its third Walmart clinic July 6 in Ozark, officials announced Monday.
The Clinic at Walmart will be in the Walmart supercenter at 2004 W. Marler Lane and will offer walk-in service seven days a week and during evenings.
Earlier this year, CoxHealth opened clinics in Walmart stores in Springfield and Republic.
"Our existing clinics have seen a steady demand from patients who seem to appreciate the accessibility and affordability of The Clinic at Walmart operated by CoxHealth," said Tom Luthy, administrative director of CoxHealth Regional Services, in a news release. "We're excited to continue to bring this model of care into more of the communities surrounding Springfield."
The clinic will serve patients at least 18 months old who are sick enough to require care but don't require a trip to an emergency room or urgent care clinic. Acute and preventative care will be provided for common health ailments such as sore throats, sinus infections, upper respiratory infections, earaches, bladder infections, insect bites and stings, cholesterol screenings, blood sugar testing, vaccinations, drug screenings and routine physicals. All prices are given upfront.
This is Walmart's 32nd in-store clinic in nine states, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]This story has been corrected. It originally stated that the clinic serves patients who are at least 18 years old.
