CoxHealth sponsors eFactory room

CoxHealth and Missouri State University officials were on hand this morning for a room-naming ceremony at The eFactory to honor a sponsorship by the health system.

Dubbed the CoxHealth Innovation Room, the space is where 1 Million Cups Springfield is held each Wednesday. CoxHealth CEO Steve Edwards, MSU President Clif Smart and other officials gathered after the 1MC event this morning to dedicate the room.

Smart said The eFactory marked two years in operation March 15 and is now 70 percent leased with 26 clients.

“This building got started as a result of a public-private partnership,” he said. “It is really fitting that this room be named the CoxHealth Innovation Room.”

Brian Kincaid, business incubator coordinator at The eFactory, said each naming-rights sponsorship is negotiable. He did not respond to an inquiry about the monetary value of the CoxHealth sponsorship.

“We have been fortunate to gain significant support from our local community,” he said via email.

MSU Associate Vice President of Research and Economic Development Allen Kunkel said two other companies, Brewer Science and 417 Magazine, have signed on to sponsor the lounge area and a small meeting room, respectively. The unveiling for Brewer is scheduled May 2, and a date for 417 has not been set, he said.

Kunkel said the building’s central gathering area is still available and all conference and training rooms have been booked. Rooms are named after the likes of BKD LLP and Mike Nietzel, former MSU president.

Kunkel and Kincaid this morning unveiled the 1MC room’s new signage: “Strong, healthy, locally grown. CoxHealth.”[[In-content Ad]]
