CoxHealth promoted a four-year director to a vice president position.
Matthew Turner, CoxHealth's system director of radiology since 2017, started July 26 as vice president of the health care organization's Community Hospital Group, according to a news release.
Turner succeeds Simon Wajnblom, who exited several months ago to pursue opportunities outside CoxHealth, said spokesperson Kaitlyn McConnell. Wajnblom's LinkedIn profile indicates he left CoxHealth after 14 years in March, when he became a senior consultant at St. Charles-based Visionary Private Equity Group. He's also served as principal and CEO of Wajnblom Consulting LLC since 2018, according to the profile.
As vice president of CoxHealth's Community Hospital Group, Turner serves as liaison for system directors and the organization's community hospitals in Branson, Monett and Lamar. He works with community hospital presidents to track and manage performance indicators, and he also leads the therapy departments at the campuses, according to the release.
“Matt is a great guy who will bring a lot of wisdom to his new role,” said William Mahoney, president of Cox Branson and senior vice president of CHG, in the release. “We know he’ll help us keep our momentum going in rural areas, and we’re excited to watch him grow with us.”
Utah-based gourmet cookie chain Crumbl Cookies opened its first Springfield shop; interior design business Branson Upstaging LLC relocated; and Lauren Ashley Dance Center LLC added a second location.
