CoxHealth makes promotion for leadership role

CoxHealth has promoted a longtime employee to a leadership role at the health system.

Tina Lehr has been tapped as CoxHealth's vice president of operations, which is part of the health system's leadership team, according to a news release.

“After a nationwide search, Tina emerged as our top candidate for this position,” said Ashley Casad, senior vice president and president of Springfield hospitals for CoxHealth, in the release. “Her extensive career in health care and time at CoxHealth has prepared her to lead in this key role."

The vice president of operations oversees procedural operations, respiratory therapy and lab services. In the role, Lehr succeeds Jeff Hawkins, who retired from CoxHealth on May 2, according to the release.

With 31 years of health care experience, Lehr most recently worked as CoxHealth's administrative director of procedural operations.
