The two were named at Cox’s annual board meeting Oct. 20 and replace Alvin Meeker and Thomas Trask, whose terms on the board expired.
Nietzel was hired at MSU earlier this year and previously served as provost and psychology professor at the University of Kentucky.
Harris is the immediate past president of the CoxHealth Auxiliary board of directors. She is chair of the Past President’s Advisory Committee, for which she previously served as first vice president and fund-raising chair. She has logged in more than 2,000 volunteer hours at Cox.
Also at the meeting, two new members were nominated to the Cox’s advisory board: Grant Haden and Julie Higgins. They replace Carolyn Bousman and Brian King.
