Cox College, BBC sign dual enrollment agreement

Posted online
An agreement signed Aug. 13 by Cox College and Baptist Bible College will allow qualified BBC students to dually enroll in Cox College.

Cox College President Anne Brett and BBC President Jim Edge met to sign an articulation agreement that will allow certain BBC students to graduate with an associate degree in nursing from Cox and a bachelor of arts degree from BBC in four years, according to a Cox news release.

“Baptist Bible College’s goal is to prepare their graduates to work in the mission field of their church," Brett said in the release. "Being able to add a nursing degree will really enhance their graduates’ skill sets as they move into missionary work."

BBC students who want to pursue an associate of science in nursing degree will need to meet all of the admission requirements of Cox College, which include ACT, SAT and computer proficiency, according to the Cox ASN Web site.

Cox College will hold up to seven spots per year in their ASN weekend-only program for qualified BBC students, the release said.

Cox also has dual enrollment agreements with Drury University, Ozarks Technical Community College and Evangel University, according to the release.[[In-content Ad]]
