Court finds EU workplace headscarf ban is legal

The European Court of Justice ruled employers are allows to ban workers from the "visible wearing of any political, philosophical or religious sign," including headscarves.

However, the ban must be an internal company rule requiring all employees to "dress neutrally", according to the decision by Europe's top court.

For instance, the ban cannot be based on the wishes of a customer.
