Country club operator going private in $1.1B deal

ClubCorp (NYSE: MYCC) announced it will go private in a $1.1 billion sale to Apollo Global Management.

Dallas-based ClubCorp owns and operates 200 golf, country, business, sports and alumni clubs in 28 states, Washington D.C., and two foreign countries.

The all-cash deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
