Los Angeles Councilperson Gil Cedillo is calling for the city to buy an apartment building with $46 million in federal coronavirus relief funds.
The goal, he said, is to protect tenants from rent hikes in the 124-unit building.
"I recognize it’s extraordinary, but these are extraordinary times," Cedillo said.
