Costco project moves forward in University City

Costco's plans for a store in the St. Louis suburb of University City are moving forward with approval by the municipality's governing board.

The University City council approved the rezoning of 16 acres where Costco intends to develop a 160,000-square-foot, free-standing building.

Costco plans to demolish current on-site buildings, including a school and self-storage facility.
