Cosmetics maker Avon to cut about 600 jobs

Cosmetics maker Avon Products Inc. said it would cut about 600 jobs, including in its North America unit, as the company tries to return to profit.

According to Fox Business, the jobs cuts and other restructuring efforts are expected to equal savings of up to $55 million annually.

The company expects an initial pretax charge of up to $50 million.
