An event this week featuring Corvettes is slated to create an economic impact and generate room nights for the Queen City.
The St. Louis and Kansas City chapters of the National Corvette Restorers Society are hosting the NCRS Show-Me Regional judging event at the Springfield Expo Center April 16-18, according to a news release. More than 80 Corvettes will be on display.
"Many of these will represent the best of the best," officials said in the release. "There will be beautiful examples of Corvettes from 1953 to the hot new 2026 models, and many years in between."
Madison Woods, communications manager for Visit Springfield, Missouri, said the event would create an estimated economic impact of $146,927. Total room nights are expected to reach 375, and the event is projected to attract 400 attendees, Woods said.
