The Aug. 28 story “Springfield Symphony sings happier tune” stated that the symphony is $200,000 in the black. The not-for-profit is $200,000 up in fund-raising compared to a year ago. As of June, the symphony was slightly more than $2,000 in the black. The story also said the symphony has sold 145,000 season tickets. It has recorded $145,000 in ticket sales as of July.

Discovery Center grand opening Sept. 9–10

The Arts & Community Calendar in the Aug. 28 edition stated that part of the grand opening festivities for Discovery Center of Springfield would be held on Sept. 8. The center is closed Sept. 4–8 to prepare for the grand opening, which will be held 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Sept. 9 and 1–5 p.m. Sept. 10. at the center, 438 E. St. Louis St.[[In-content Ad]]
