Jordan Valley TIF
The article "State, local officials eye Jordan Valley TIF," which appeared on page 3 of the April 30, 2001, issue of SBJ, contained two errors. The Woodruff and Landmark buildings are not located within the TIF District but immediately west of the district's west border. Also, the One Parkway Place Condominium building, although located in the blighted area which comprises the TIF District, has not been designated blighted through the TIF hearing process.
Additionally, there was confusion among SBJ sources and staff regarding the "redevelopment area" also known as the TIF District, and the "redevelopment project areas," the nine, specific areas outlined in the city's Jordan Valley Tax Increment Financing Plan. SBJ will revisit the Jordan Valley TIF in detail in the issue of May 21 to clarify these and other issues.
