O'Reilly trading
Information in a story concerning O'Reilly Auto Parts in the Feb. 21-27 Business Journal was incorrect. Company policy requires officials to wait three business days after quarterly financial data is released before trading O'Reilly stock and allows them a 45-day window in which to trade that stock.
O'Reilly stock sales executed by O'Reilly officials, reported in regulatory filings and the Business Journal story, overwhelmingly concerned stock owned indirectly in trusts held in the names of those officials' children or were related to the exercise of options. The trades were made to diversify the holdings of those trusts and did not reflect a judgment on the performance of the company or the company's stock price. Company officials retain large holdings in the company.
