The Corporation for Public Broadcasting is shutting down less than a year after the Trump administration moved to cut its funding.
CPB officials said the closure decision was made rather than the organization be potentially “vulnerable to future political manipulation or misuse.”
While local public radio stations may continue to operate, much of their funding came from the CPB.
