U.S. companies are filing for bankruptcy at the highest level since 2010.
Chapter 11 filings during the first half of the year nearly doubled to 340 through June compared with the same period in 2022, according to S&P Global Market Intelligence data.
During the month of June, there were 54 corporate bankruptcy petitions.
