After years of government investigations, Corinthian Colleges Inc. will shut down more than two dozen of its remaining schools.
The closures include 13 Everest and WyoTech campuses in California, Everest College Phoenix and Everest Online Tempe in Arizona, the Everest Institute in New York, and Heald College, along with its 10 satellite campuses across the U.S., according to a notice on the organization's website.
Last year, the federal government accused the for-profit college holding company of falsifying job placement rates, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The
former owner of Everest College in Springfield, the campus was purchased in February by Zenith Education Group, according to its
website.
