The two filed a joint application with the Missouri Public Service Commission, seeking approval of a territorial agreement. If approved, Ozark Electric Cooperative would provide electric service to the station that will be built along Farm Road 103 inside Springfield city limits.
The agreement would not require the transfer of facilities or customers between the cooperative and the city.
Applications to intervene and participate in the case must be filed by Sept. 13 with the Secretary of the Missouri Public Service Commission, P.O. Box 360, Jefferson City, MO 65102.
