Convoy will build 30 centers to serve as medical clinics, schools, counseling centers, houses of worship and agricultural stations. The organization also will provide seeds, pots, pans and homes for ministers in the area.
Nearly 2 million Ugandans are homeless because of the war between the country’s government and a rebel group, which only recently reached a truce. The goal of the centers, according to a Convoy news release, is to assist people with basic needs and inspire them to rebuild their homes and villages.
