Convoy of Hope has formed an alliance with an Ozark nonprofit, which would allow the Springfield-based organization to better provide aid in rural communities.
Rural Compassion,
formed in 2003 to help rural churches nationwide provide needed items for their communities, is partnering with Convoy of Hope's global initiative team, which places a focus on feeding children, teaching agriculture and soil development techniques, and transports and distributes food and supplies, according to a news release.
“The alliance strengthens both organizations,” Convoy of Hope President Hal Donaldson said in the release. “For many years, Rural Compassion has taken help and hope to the rural areas of the United States.
“Together we will utilize that foundation to continue to make a difference in the lives of impoverished children and hurting families around the country.”
Through the alliance, Convoy of Hope will work through Rural Compassion's network to help the less fortunate in rural communities.
“As we work together to serve our communities, we’re ensuring more people are helped through Convoy of Hope," Donaldson added.
