The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce on March 20 will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Continental Title Co., which has effectively doubled the space for its main Springfield office by moving across the street on East Bradford Parkway.
The title company, which provides residential and commercial escrow closings, title search and construction disbursement services, moved in March 1 to a 5,300-square-foot office, 1546 E. Bradford Parkway. Its old office, which had been occupied for five years, was located in two suites spanning 2,650 square feet in Bradford Place, 1531 E. Bradford Parkway, said Missy Melvin, escrow manager for the location.
Renovation for the building, which previously was vacant, was completed by Springfield general contractor Timberworks Building and Design LLC in late February. Renovation costs were about $70,000 for the building, which is being leased from Agnes Miller, Melvin said.
She said there is "more space, room for growth" at the new location, which has allowed the escrow and title production departments to be combined into one space. The new location also offers increased parking and first-floor accommodations, Melvin added.
The East Bradford Parkway location of Continental Title Co. is home to 10 of the Overland Park, Kan.-based company's local employees. The company also has offices at 1440 E. Kearney St., and 800 State Highway 248 in Branson, as well as a title plant in Forsyth. Overall, the company has 19 total offices in Missouri and Kansas.[[In-content Ad]]
