The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau has dropped multiple cases against corporations.
The CFPB issued notices of voluntary dismissals in watchdog cases against Capital One, Rocket Homes and Vanderbilt Mortgage and Finance, among others.
The lawsuits had been filed under Rohit Chopra, who was fired as CFPB director by President Donald Trump. The CFPB also recently was ordered to halt nearly all of its work.
