The restaurant will be at 3339 W. Kearney St. in Airport Plaza, near West Bypass, and is scheduled to open in January, according to a company news release.
Baron Design and Associates LLC is the architect for the building, which features Wendy’s new café-style dining room design and will seat 86. Officials anticipate hiring 35 employees.
The franchise, owned by Sam and June Hamra, owns and operates 24 Wendy’s in Missouri, including seven in Springfield.

The first southwest Missouri location of EarthWise Pet, a national chain of pet supply stores, opened; Grey Oak Investments LLC relocated; and Hot Bowl by Everyday Thai LLC got its start.
