Drury University’s O’Reilly Family Event Center is enclosed except for the windows, said Killian Project Manager Matt Breland. Crews have finished some drywall, and interior framing, metal stud work and rough-ins are mostly complete. Interior concrete has been poured and exterior concrete work is progressing, he said. The center is funded by contributions and private donations, including $6 million from Springfield’s O’Reilly family and $600,000 from the Pitt family.  The Pitts’ gift specifically covers upgrades that will enable the center to meet Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Gold standards. The facility’s basketball court will be named the William A. Pitt Court. The center is scheduled for completion in September.
