Phase II of the expansion of the Greene County Archives building is slated to wrap up this month, said DeWitt & Associates project manager Rob Rigdon. This addition, on the northeast corner of the building, will encompass 4,000 square feet. Phase II work began after the completion earlier this year of the initial phase, a 6,000-square-foot addition that allowed for additional storage on the west side of the building and included a meeting room and an employee kitchen. Greene County Recorder Linda Montgomery told Springfield Business Journal in December that the additions are funded through the county clerk’s election services fund, an Energy Efficiency & Conservation Block Grant and the recorder-user fund.
