Architect: Sapp Design Associates Architects PC Engineers: Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc., mechanical, electrical and plumbing; Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; and Olsson Associates Inc., civil Estimated Cost: $8 million General contractor DeWitt & Associates is adding 53,000 square feet to Associated Electric Cooperative’s Springfield campus. The project, financed by the U.S Department of Agriculture Rural Utilities Service, is on target for completion, said Linda Putman, spokeswoman for AECI. The addition will have two floors and a basement, providing room for executive offices, training and meeting rooms,h and engineers’ workstations. The building is designed to achieve Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design-Silver certification. A cool white roof and heavy use of regional and recycled materials are among the project’s green features, project manager Rebecca Welsh said.[[In-content Ad]]
