It is designed to be the bank’s second Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design-certified branch; the first is in Fayetteville, Ark. David Ross, Morelock-Ross project manager, told Springfield Business Journal in January that the facility is designed for LEED-Silver certification, but it could attain the gold level. Sustainable features include cisterns to collect rainwater for irrigation and use in dual flush toilets, and motion sensors to cut energy use. Early said Arvest anticipates opening the new branch around July 12, and the name of the branch manager will be announced soon.
