The St. Louis Regional Convention and Sports Complex Authority has selected a consortium of developers to be the construction managers for an NFL stadium that would be built on the riverfront in downtown St. Louis.
Dubbed HCKL Stadium Partners, the development group comprises Hunt Construction Group, an AECOM Co; Clayco Inc.; Kennedy Associates Inc.; and Legacy Building Group. The four worked together when the $365 million Busch Stadium was built in 2004, according to the St. Louis Business Journal.
The next step is for Dave Peacock and Bob Blitz – the governor’s two-man task force charged to lead stadium development – to go to New York to pitch NFL officials on the project. The effort comes as St. Louis Rams’ owner Stan Kroenke moves ahead with his plans to build a $1.86 billion stadium complex in Inglewood, Calif.
