Construction community supports ReStore event

Members of the local construction industry and the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassadors were on hand May 17 for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore, 4535 W. Chestnut Expwy.|ret||ret||tab|

A Meek's truck did the honors, backing through the ceremonial ribbon on its way to unload some of the $52,500 in building supplies donated by Meek's for the occasion. The donation comprised high-quality building materials from lines discontinued by Meek's.|ret||ret||tab|

The ReStore takes donated building materials and resells them at a discount. Funds raised ultimately will go to build more Habitat homes locally. |ret||ret||tab|
