The 82,550-square-foot New Christian Life Center at Wesley United Methodist Church, 922 W. Republic Road, is scheduled for completion Dec. 15.
MECO Systems Inc. is the general contractor for the building and Pellham Phillips Hagerman is the architect. The structure has an estimated construction cost of $2.5 million. The center is being built of block, brick, glass and EIFS, which gives a stucco-like effect.
The structure is centered around a large auditorium that has an arched roof.
The center also features a gymnasium, men's and women's locker rooms, classrooms, a kitchen area and offices.
