Construction Around Town: St. John's Emergency Trauma Center - 1235 E. Cherokee

Phase I of the construction will cost an estimated $24 million. The first phase, which will add about 211,000 square feet to St. John's campus, has an estimated completion date of 2004; phase II will be finished in 2008. Phase I will be five stories high with a shell floor on top to serve as a landing pad for St. John's Life Line helicopters. The building will include an outpatient imaging facility on the second level and intensive care services on the third and fourth levels. The new center will provide a pedestrian entrance, ambulance garage, a dedicated ambulance entrance, and dedicated waiting areas for pediatrics, adult care, and urgent and emergency care. |ret||ret||tab|
