A $4.5 million, three-floor addition, constructed by DeWitt & Associates and designed by architect Bob Stockdale, is set for completion in September. The 65,000-square-foot project at Second Baptist Church will facilitate functions for three church ministries, from infants through adults.
Among the additions is construction of a 5,000-square-foot, two-story atrium that will become the church's primary entrance, said senior pastor Dr. John Edie. Other features of the addition include a kitchen, nursery, caf, game room, and classroom and meeting space.
