Masonry Structures Inc. is the general contractor for the city of Republic's new community center. Sapp Design Associates is the architect and the engineers are Ozark Mountain Land Surveying, Allstate Consultants Inc. and Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins Inc. Scheduled for completion in mid-September 31, the 46,000-square-foot structure has an estimated cost of $3.1 million. The community center will include two community rooms, a kitchen, concessions, two gymnasiums, a walking track, offices and a 10,000-square-foot fitness area that will be operated by CoxHealth. Republic citizens approved the funding for the new center, which is part of the city's $5 million park system improvements.
