Construction Around Town: Park Crest Baptist Church

Wirt Construction Co. is the general contractor and Butler Rosenbury & Partners Inc. is the architect for construction now under way at Park Crest Baptist Church.

Two separate buildings are included in the project: a 40,000-square-foot sanctuary and nursery building, and a 6,000-square-foot fellowship hall. The sanctuary will seat 1,200, and the nursery area has three large areas for children.

The fellowship hall should be completed in early August; the sanctuary and nursery building should be done about the first of the year. The combined construction cost is about $3.5 million.
