Nabholz Construction is the general contractor for the new, 254,000-square-foot high school for Ozark. Marshall-Waters-Woody is the architect; Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins is the mechanical and electrical engineer; and J.S. Smith is the structural engineer. Ozark School Superintendent Leo Snelling said bond issues passed in 2001, 2002 and 2003 are funding the construction, worth approximately $20 million. Snelling said the building is designed to accommodate about 1,500 students. The classroom wing is on three levels, and the building will have state-of-the-art wiring for computers and technology, he said. The building's plans allow for future expansion of up to 80,000 square feet. Fixed facilities, including the library, cafeteria and gymnasium, are being built so that they can accommodate future growth as necessary. Snelling said the district hopes to move high school classes to the new location Dec. 1
