Construction Around Town: Lakewood Apartments

Local builder and developer Sam Coryell is constructing a $6.5 million, seven-unit apartment complex in south Springfield. Lakewood Apartments, which is being built in two phases, will have a total of 168 residential apartments ranging from one bedroom to three bedrooms in size. The complex also will include a swimming pool. |ret||ret||tab|

Coryell said one unit in phase I is complete and occupied. Phase II begins in September, he said, and will be finished by next summer. The apartments rent for $450 to $650. Coryell's company, TLC Properties, is the rental manager.|ret||ret||tab|
