DeWitt & Associates is the general contractor for the city of Springfield's 350,000-square-foot multistory parking garage. HOK of Kansas City, Creative Ink Architects and Walker Parking Consultants of Elgin, Ill., are the architects for the project, and Palmerton & Parrish Inc. is the engineer. The estimated completion date for the approximately $12 million structure is Aug. 19. The facility will add 977 parking spaces downtown. Office and retail space is available on the ground level, with the first confirmed tenant being the Springfield Convention & Visitors Bureau, leasing 7,000 square feet.
